Venturα ("Venturα", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Venturα mobile and web application that connects small business owners, investors, and operating partners. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. If you have any questions, contact us at support@myventurepair.com.

We collect information that you provide directly, information generated through your use of the service, and limited technical information needed to operate the app.

• Account information: email address, password credentials managed by our authentication provider, and optionally your phone number.
• Profile information: name, age, role (founder, investor, or operating partner), location, bio, photos, business or investment details, funding stage, tags, and what you're looking for.
• Content you create: posts, comments, likes, direct messages, support requests, and any other content you submit.
• Activity information: swipe and match activity, connection requests, and interactions with other users' profiles and content, so we can show mutual matches and personalize your experience.
• Verification information: if you choose to complete identity or face verification, we collect the verification image or document you submit. This information is used only for verification purposes and is not displayed to other users.
• Information collected automatically: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and crash or performance logs for debugging and reliability. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

• To create and display your profile to other users and to power matching and search.
• To deliver core features: messaging, notifications, the activity feed, and marketplace listings.
• To offer optional AI-assisted writing suggestions for posts and profile fields. Content you submit for this feature is sent to a third-party AI provider solely to generate a suggestion.
• To verify accounts and help maintain the security and integrity of the service.
• To respond to support requests and communicate with you about the service.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• With other users: your profile and activity are designed to be visible to other users according to your privacy settings and the nature of the service. For example, non-matched users may see limited profile information, while matched users can see more details and message you.
• With service providers: we use trusted providers to host and run the app (database, authentication, file storage, email delivery, analytics, and the AI writing assistant), under agreements that limit their use of your data to providing services to us.
• For legal reasons: we may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users or others.
• With your consent: we may share information in other ways if you ask us to or agree to it.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) grant you specific rights regarding your personal information.

Categories of personal information we collect. In the past 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information, depending on how you use the app: identifiers (such as email address and phone number); commercial information (such as transaction history if you make any purchases); internet or electronic network activity information (such as app usage and interactions); geolocation data (such as city or general location); audio, electronic, visual, or similar information (such as profile photos and verification images); professional or employment-related information (such as business role and funding stage); and inferences drawn from the above to create a profile about your preferences and characteristics.

Sources of personal information. We collect this information directly from you, automatically when you use the app, and from service providers that help us operate the app.

Business purposes for collection. We collect personal information for the business and commercial purposes described in "How we use your information" above, including providing the service, personalizing your experience, maintaining security, and communicating with you.

No sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your CCPA/CPRA rights. You have the right to:

• Know/access: request the specific pieces and categories of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business or commercial purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
• Delete: request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions under California law.
• Correct: request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
• Opt out of sale/sharing: because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, no opt-out mechanism is required. If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide an opt-out method.
• Limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes other than those necessary to provide the service or as otherwise permitted by law.
• Non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@myventurepair.com. We will verify your request using the email associated with your account. You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require proof that you gave the agent permission.

• You can edit or remove most profile fields and photos at any time from your Profile.
• You can delete individual posts, comments, or messages you've created.
• You can permanently delete your account and associated data from Profile → Delete account.
• You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link included in those emails.
• You can adjust device permissions (such as camera or photo access) through your device settings.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain limited records for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or business purposes.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our service providers may process and store information in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.

Venturα is intended for business owners, investors, and operating partners aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the service after the changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
