Community guidelines
Last updated July 11, 2026
Venturα connects founders, investors and partners around real, physical small businesses — restaurants, shops, bakeries, coffee shops, gas stations and more. These guidelines keep the community useful, respectful and safe for everyone. Using Venturα means you agree to follow them.
Be real
- Use your real name, a real photo of yourself, and honest details about your business or investment focus.
- No impersonation, fake profiles, stock photos as your face, or misleading claims about traction, funding, or credentials.
- One account per person. Don't create duplicates to work around blocks, matches or moderation.
Be respectful
Treat everyone the way you'd want to be treated in a professional introduction. The following are not allowed anywhere on Venturα — in profiles, posts, comments, messages, marketplace listings, or media:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or targeted insults.
- Hate speech or slurs based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
- Sexual content, nudity, or sexually suggestive requests.
- Graphic violence, gore, or content that glorifies self-harm or suicide.
- Content that sexualizes or endangers minors — this is reported to the appropriate authorities.
- Doxxing or sharing anyone's private information (address, phone, ID documents) without consent.
Keep it on-topic
Venturα is for real, physical small business opportunities. Please don't use it for:
- Dating, romantic outreach, or unsolicited personal messages.
- Multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes, or "get rich quick" pitches.
- Crypto token sales, ICOs, high-risk trading signals, or unregulated financial products.
- Adult services, gambling operations, weapons sales, or illegal goods.
No spam or manipulation
- Don't send bulk or repetitive messages, comments, or connection requests.
- Don't scrape profiles, harvest contact info, or use automation to swipe, post, or message.
- Don't buy, sell, or trade accounts, matches, or engagement.
- Don't post the same listing or pitch repeatedly to boost visibility.
Honest business claims
Anything you say about your business — revenue, valuation, stage, team, licences, permits — should be truthful and verifiable on request. Investors: be honest about cheque size, focus and timeline. Misleading claims are grounds for removal.
Intellectual property & privacy
- Only post photos, logos and content you have the right to share.
- Don't screenshot or forward private messages, ID documents, or someone else's profile photos outside Venturα without their permission.
- Respect confidential information shared during introductions and diligence.
Safety off-platform
When a connection leads to a real-world meeting, meet somewhere public for the first time, verify identities and business details independently, and never send money, sign documents, or hand over sensitive information because someone pressures you to act quickly. Venturα doesn't verify financial claims, licences, or the terms of any deal you make.
Reporting and blocking
Every profile, post, comment, message and marketplace listing has a menu with Report and Block actions. Reporting sends the content to our review team; blocking immediately hides that person from you across the app and stops them from contacting you. You can manage blocked users any time in your profile settings.
For anything urgent, sensitive, or that these guidelines don't cover, email support@myventurepair.com. Please contact local emergency services first if you or someone else is in immediate danger.
Enforcement
We review reports and content that violates these guidelines. Depending on the severity and history, we may:
- Remove the content.
- Warn the account.
- Temporarily restrict features (posting, messaging, swiping).
- Permanently suspend the account.
Serious violations — including illegal content, threats, or content involving minors — result in immediate removal and can be reported to law enforcement. We may update these guidelines as the community grows; material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
